Betsson signs Zé Roberto as their new brand ambassador in LATAM

The Stockholm-listed betting group has penned a three-year agreement with the former Brazil International, which will see the licensing of global player images across all of its brands.

Furthermore, Zé Roberto will also take on the role of Brand Ambassador, with most of the social media content based around this famous midfielder.

“Zé Roberto is the best strategic partner we could think of to represent and increase the notoriety of our brand in Brazil,” said Andrea Rossi, Commercial Director for Southern Europe and Latin America at Betsson Group.

“At the same time, considering that he is known worldwide, we negotiated a global and multi-brand agreement, which allows the Betsson Group to use Zé Roberto’s prestige to promote our brands globally.”

Robert will also be available across a wide variety of Betsson-organised events, including meet and greets, photo sheets and so on. The announcement was made via a YouTube Shorts video released on Betsson’s Brazil channel. The video is called Multiverse of Zé Roberto.

Betsson is a well-recognised and established gambling operator in Latin America. At the beginning of this month, the firm also signed a partnership with pan-American football governing body CONMEBOL. This partnership will make Betsson the exclusive sportsbook partner for this year’s CONMEBOL Copa America Femenina.

There are also agreements in place with the Chilean Primera División club Colo Colo, the Pernambuco Football Federation (FPF), and the Rio Grande do Sul state championship Campeonato Gauchão.

Who is Zé Roberto?

Zé Roberto is a former football player that remains a role model and an icon to this day. His passion for Brazil and the sport have helped him gain popularity. In his career, he has played at some of the best Brazilian regional teams and also had an international career in countries such as Germany, Spain and Qatar.

He has scored achievements and titles, including winning two FIFA Confederations Cups and two Copa America. He also formed part of the 2016 FIFA Worl Cup All-Star Team. He also won four Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich and has participated in the Champions League and La Liga when playing in Real Madrid.
