Cash Elevator

No longer available

Cash Elevator is the latest new attraction by prominent software game developer Pragmatic Play. Who knew that elevators could be a fun place to win some money?

With a slightly claustrophobic soundtrack, the rattling sounds of the lift as you spin the reels will make you want to grab something to steady yourself up.

Clearly set in the olden days, the slot game is based around an old hotel clad with old rotary telephones, hard case luggage, pocket clocks, and an out-of-place ominous black cat.

What makes this game special is its thrilling ascending and descending reels concept, which ultimately removes symbols from the reels the higher you go up. Make it all the way to the top to trigger massive wins.

Fronted by a steampunk lady, she is joined by a skinny bellboy who transforms into a zombie during some features.

Built over 5 reels and three rows, Cash Elevator comes with no less than 20 fixed paylines. The most valuable symbols in the game include the keys, the trunks, the automobiles, the pocket watches, logs, cats and rotary phones. The lowest paying symbols are as usual the card numbers.

The game boasts an average RTP of 96.64%, which is not bad at all. However, with a maximum payout of 20,000x or more, this game has quite the potential.

Cash Elevator jackpots

Cash Elevator comes with no jackpots attached.

Cash Elevator free spins

To trigger the Cash Elevator free spins bonus round, you need to land a 1×3 wild symbol on either reel two or four.

Before you commence the round, you must pick between three options to win anything between six and 12 free spins. If two wilds activate this round, you can land yourself up to 24 free spins.

Cash Elevator bonus features

This game is not short of features. Although nothing unique, the features make the ride in the elevator a little more interesting.

Cash Elevator feature

The first feature that will immediately jump at you is the Cash Elevator feature. This feature is available during the base game. Since the game is set in an elevator in a building with 13 floors, your wins will be affected by your journey up and down the lift.

On the first floor, you will see all available paying symbols present on the reels. However, the higher you will go up the elevator, the lower value symbols will become increasingly absent from the reels.

Make it all the way up to the 12th floor and you will benefit from high paying symbols on the reels.

There are a number of ways of moving between floors. You can move up by hitting a winning combination with lower valued symbols. In this case, you move up one level.

Additionally, arrow symbols can also crop up on the middle reel. When it does, you will move up or down depending on which way the arrow is pointing and the number of floors.

Changing bet size will reset the level progress.

Basement feature

Go all the way down to the basement and you’ll trigger the Basement feature. This feature will automatically move you to a random floor, which might well be the 12th floor.

Hold and Spin Feature

Once you reach all the way to the top floor, the Hold and Spin feature will be activated. To start off, you will receive four respins, which are players on an entirely new set of reels made up of money symbols as well as blanks.

These include gold and silver coins with cash values attached to them. The X symbols can reward you between a 2x and a 10x multiplier.

Every time you land a money symbol, it will stay put in position and the respins are reset to four. This feature comes to an end once you have used up all your respins.

All the money coins are added up and any multipliers are added to the total.

Cash Elevator RTP

Cash Elevator is a highly volatile game, meaning that wins will not come by too often, but when they do they will be substantial.

The Cash Elevator RTP stands at 96.64%.

Verdict

Cash Elevator is a highly volatile slot game and boy, does it show! We were spinning for ages waiting to hit the win. At the same time, moving up and down the elevator, was a great touch to a game that lacked substance in some places.

As players, we found ourselves spinning the reels in the hope of either hitting the basement or making it all the way to the top floor. This was a cheeky yet troubling feature which made calling it quits a little difficult.

Though it boasts a horror theme, there was nothing frightening about this game. If anything, we were quite pleased with the numerous features including the free spins round and the hold and win.

Overall, we really struggled to hit wins in this game, so it might not be ideal for players with a small bankroll. However, we did find it entertaining enough, and with the chance of hitting 20,000x your bet, the pros outweigh the cons here.

Additionally, the chance of kicking off the free spins round with 24 spins was a little too hard to resist.

Overall, bravo to Pragmatic Play, but have mercy on our bankroll!
